Junior Seau‘s 48th birthday would have been today. Like Tony Gwynn was to the Padres, Junior embodied what it was like to be a Charger. He is greatly missed and will always hold a special place in the hearts of Chargers fans.

Enjoy these four videos. Two of them give you the intensity he brought to the field every game while the Tonight Show interview will give you an idea of how gentle a soul he really was. The last is a remembrance of Junior by his eldest child. Sydney Seau spoke so eloquently about her father.

The greatest linebacker in the history of the San Diego Chargers was a true class act and fans will always remember their home town boy who became a man in front of our very eyes. He was a leader on and off the field for the Chargers team.

Junior on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno 1994. Junior had such a magical quality about him. People enjoyed speaking to him and just meeting him. He always carried himself with such grace and it was truly like meeting a god or warrior meeting and speaking to him.

Another great video tribute to the warrior on the field. He was a fiery competitor on the field and always demanded perfection from those around him on the field. He was a coach on the field and helped cultivate many defensive players in the Chargers system. The man is an absolute legend in San Diego Sports history. Here is a clip of his jersey retirement.
