All three of the San Diego Padres minor league affiliates that played Wednesday walked away with victories.

The Lake Elsinore Storm and Fort Wayne TinCaps both scored 12 runs.

Additionally, Dinelson Lamet made his first appearance since June 26. He is on a rehab assignment with the Storm.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Off Day) (32-44)

After the day off on Wednesday, the El Paso Chihuahuas will begin a series against the Sacramento River Cats on Thursday. Luke Westphal will start for El Paso.

San Antonio Missions (Won 3-2) (38-41)

Eguy Rosario– 1-for-4, 1 R, 2 K

Allen Cordoba- 2-for-3, 1 K

Osvaldo Hernandez– 5.2 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K

Carlos Belen– 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 K

Two runs in the first inning and the winning run in the eighth inning were all the mission needed in their 3-2 win against the Corpus Christi Hooks. The runs in the first inning were each driven in on singles by Jose Azocar and Kyle Overstreet. Osvaldo Hernandez nearly notched a quality start but failed to complete the sixth inning after allowing the first three baserunners to reach that inning. After not scoring since the first, San Antonio rolled the dice with two outs in the eighth inning by attempting a double steal. It worked, and Juan Fernandez scored the winning run by stealing home. Nick Kuzia struck out the side in the ninth inning to record the save

Adrain Martinez will start Thursday for the Missions.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Won 12-5) (37-43)

Tirso Ornelas– 1-for-3, 2 R, 2 BB

Grant Little– 2-for-4, 1 RBI, 3 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 5 SB

Connor Lehmann– 5 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 4 H, 1 K,  3 BB

Felix Minjarez– 2 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 4 K

Nine runs in the first three innings were plenty to get past the Great Lakes Loons 12-5. Six TinCaps reached in the first inning, but only Justin Lopez got a hit out of those six. However, Grant Little stole all three bases in the first inning, including home, and then added two more in the third inning. In the third inning, Agustin Ruiz deliver the dagger by hitting a three-run home run to make the lead 9-1. Fort Wayne cruised to the win from that point on.

Noel Vela will start for the TinCaps Thursday.

Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 12-7) (35-45)

Robert Hassell III- 2-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 3 K

Joshua Mears– 3-for-5, 2 R, 4 RBI, 1 K

Jesus Lugo– 3 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 5 K, 1 BB

Jason Reynolds– 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 K

Top prospects Robert Hassell III and Joshua Mears each homered in Lake Elsinore’s 12-7 victory. Mears’ grand slam in the fourth inning brought the Storm lead to 8-0 and put the game out of reach. Lake Elsinore added four more runs in the seventh inning for good measure when Bryan Torres hit a two-run triple.

Dinelson Lamet pitched the fourth inning and came away injury free. He did allow a home run, but that is not the important detail. Lamet struck out two batters and will look to progress and return to the Padres soon.

There is no projected starter for the Storm for Thursday.
