This Thursday, March 14, AC Milan faced Slavia Prague in the second leg of a UEFA Europa League round of 16 match.

Milan had won the first leg of the matchup in Italy 4-2 and was expected to come away with another victory in this return leg in the Czech Republic.

Christian Pulisic had scored in the first leg at the San Siro and scored again in this dominant 3-1 win for AC Milan away from home. Pulisic’s goal was the first of the game in the 33rd minute when he was able to come away with a shot from inside of the penalty area. The scoring drive was started by Theo Hernandez on the left flank, who passed the ball to Rafael Leao, who then found Pulisic inside of the box.

The America forward was also able to provide an assist in this game when Rafael Leao made it a 3-0 game in stoppage time of the first half. Pulisic switched the play from the right flank to the left, and Rafael Leao powered a very potent strike from outside of the box to seal the victory for AC Milan in Prague.

Pulisic played 63 minutes in this game before being subbed out for Samuel Chukwueze, and his participation in this game was exceptional. The USMNT winger now has scored in three consecutive games for the first time in his career after his goal today, having scored in the first leg of this matchup and against Empoli in the Serie A.

Pulisic has been a very successful signing for AC Milan, currently with eight goals scored and six assists in the Serie A and three goals scored and an assist in European competitions this campaign. The 25-year-old forward has specifically found great chemistry with Rafael leao as demonstrated in this second-leg match against Slavia Prague.

AC Milan’s next game will be a Serie A bout against Hellas Verona this Sunday, March 17, then Pulisic will focus on the USMNT in the CONCACAF Nations League Final Four. The USMNT will face Jamaica in the semifinals of that competition for a ticket to the final against the winner of the Mexico vs. Panama semifinal leg.
