The Tijuana Xolos officially presented 26-year-old midfielder Cesar Falletti and 19-year-old midfielder Jordan Rezabala this Tuesday, Aug. 27. It seemed like the Aztec Canines negotiations in the current transfer window ere over as the moves did come as a surprise.

Cesar Falletti started off his professional career back in 2012 in his native Uruguay with CA Cerro. The South American midfielder then made a move to Italy in 2013 to Ternanna and he has stayed in Italy also playing with Bologna and Palermo.

Falletti plays centrally, but plays high up the pitch, usually behind the strikers in an attacking midfielder role. The Uruguayan playmaker is good at passing and dribbling, but stands in at 5-foot-7 and has very limited physical and defensive capabilities.

Jordan Rezabala is a similar player as he stands in at just 5-foot-5 and also plays as an attacking midfielder. However, the Ecuadorian international is just 19 years old and is considered a highly touted prospect with a very promising future.

Rezabala has played with Ecuador as high as the U-20 level and has also played in the highly competitive U-20 Copa Libertadores. It is unclear if the 19-year-old playmaker will slot right into the first team, but Xolos’ manager Oscar Pareja has a track record of working with youngsters.

Falletti has already been officially registered with the senior team and will be available to play this Wednesday as the Aztec Canines host Cruz Azul at the Estadio Caliente for a Week 7 matchup in the 2019 Apertura. Jordan Rezabala is yet to be registered and it is unclear if he will play with the youth squads before featuring with the senior team.
