Tijuana, Mexico

The Tijuana Toros are finalizing their last few training sessions in the border city before heading off to Tucson, Arizona for their preseason ahead of the LMB season that starts on March 22.

Los Toros are set to have a productive spring training as they will train at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona from Feb. 17 to March 17 and will face the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Cincinnati Reds in exhibition matches.

Pedro Mere’s team will play the Dodgers on March 6 in Glendale, Arizona then will have two encounters against the Padres on March 12 and 13 before taking on the Reds on March 14 in Goodyear, Arizona.

There should be some notable players present in those games for the MLB clubs, and the Toros could even be facing some Mexican players like Julio Urias, Luis Urias, Christian Villanueva, and Sebastian Elizalde.

The border city team will also face teams from other parts of the world during their month in Tucson.

This includes Taiwanese club China Trust Brothers, Korean club Nexen Heroes, LMB side Tigres de Quintana Roo, and Meji University of Japan.

The Toros are set for a big season as they will try to defend their LMB title and this month in Arizona should help the team immensely going forward. A lot of the same players that were part of that 2017 LMB championship team will be back this season and should make for a potent side.
