Not much action for San Diego Padres minor leaguers on Friday.

There are several reports that Franmil Reyes, Franchy Cordero, Manuel Margot, and possibly Carlos Asuaje will report to several different teams very soon. Traditionally, major league players take their time in reporting to their winter league teams. Stay tuned as each player and several more will report in the coming weeks.

The Peoria Javelinas moved to 6-3 on the season after a 3-1 win over the Scottsdale Scorpions. Not one single Padres player got into the game on a rare day where the AFL team played with no Friar contributing at all. The Javelinas will take on Salt River tomorrow at 12:35 PM.

Here is your recap of the rest of the day’s action:

Arizona Fall League

No Padres’ players were in action

Dominican winter league

Diego Goris– (0-1)

Used as a pinch hitter, Goris flew out in his only at-bat for the Aguilas Cibaenas. The third baseman is hitting .333 on the year so far in the Dominican Republic. Goris has advanced all the way to Triple-A, but will need a miracle to find playing time in a crowded Padres system.

Jeisson Rosario– (0-1)

Rosario did not start again for the Tigres del Licey, but did get an at-bat late in the game. He is looking for his first hit on the year in the D.R. The speedy center fielder is being brought along slowly after being a high draft pick by the Tigres.

Eric Yardley– 0.1 IP, H, BB

Yardley still has not allowed a run for the Tigres del Licey. The right-handed reliever earned a spring training invite to the major league camp last year along with Adam Cimber. He pitched well in the minors in 2018 and could make a debut for the team this coming year.

Mexican winter league

No Padres’ players were in action

Venezuelan winter league

Gabriel Arias– (0-4) K, Error

Arias started and played short for the Tiburones de La Guaira. He committed a throwing error in the game and hit in the middle of the lineup. Arias is still very raw and this extra playing time will only help smooth out his rough edges.
