Padres News: Who is Mike Janela? Padres Social Hour new host

The brand new host for the Padres Social Hour show has been named and it is a little known talent named Mike Janela. Here is a little glimpse at who Mike is and what we have to look forward to as the new host of the show.

The 30-year-old from New York is a Syracuse University graduate and has worked in many different spectrum’s of the social media and sports department. He has done some writing for the Daily Orange as well as some hosting. He even has his own podcast entitled the “Mike Janela Show” on iTunes.

The new host has also worked for Guinness World Records as a judge and media personality. He has appeared on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America and other nationally televised shows which has helped him grow as an announcer. He brings a ton of experience and should provide a different insight to the team.

It will be interesting to see how he blends with the existing Social Hour team. Jesse Agler was an excellent host and will be sorely missed but he is on to bigger and brighter things. We wish him the best of luck. Enjoy this video on Mike Janela.
