We welcome back Jesse to the show as he joins us while on the road in Tampa Bay. The San Diego Padres team has a much different look about it now with the removal of the veterans from the team. We discuss the new look Padres and how the team has a different feel to it.

Andy Green is discussed fully as he has been fantastic for the young Padres this season. The team has taken on the style of their young manager and it will be interesting to see how the team further develops his style of play to their own.

Ryan Schimpf has stepped up and the three of us talk about his emergence. Cory Spangenberg seems like the odd man out but it is still early. Jesse points out that Andy Green was very high on Spangy and he will probably be given an opportunity to retain his starting job. Very good point.

The Cashner trade and Colin Rea being sent back to the Friars was a strange deal. We get Jesse’s thought process on the trade and he has some interesting things to say about the deal. We all agree the whole situation was just strange.

We talk about Tyson Ross and what his future is with the team. He has had a horrible injury-marred season and we discuss if he will be shopped by the team this winter. Ross is entering his final contractual year and he really needs to produce in 2017.

The Padres are presently in a rebuild. There is no sugar-coating that. However there is a bright future around the corner and the team should start to win some ball games very soon.

We wish to thank Jesse for returning to the show. He did us a “solid” by taking time out of his day while on the road. Thanks Jesse, you are the man!
