The final week of minor league affiliate baseball for the Padres is beginning, as the El Paso Chihuahuas are set to start their last series of the season. El Paso is not going to make the playoffs, so their season will end. The Dominican Summer League season will also end on October 3.

Only the DSL Padres were in action Tuesday.

However, the Padres responded in the next half-inning with five runs of their own.

The first two came on a walk and a hit-by-pitch, but the next three scored on singles from Jake Perez and Daniel Montesino. After falling behind again, the Padres tied it back up in the seventh with two RBI singles, one from Montesino again, the other off the bat of Jake Perez. The DSL Padres are off on Wednesday but will resume action Thursday morning against the DSL White Sox. There are no scheduled pitchers for that contest yet.
