Only the El Paso Chihuahuas were in play on the farm of the San Diego Padres.

The San Antonio Missions will be back in play Thursday, so there will be two games.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Won 9-8) (81-62)

Taylor Kohlwey– 2-for-3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB

Matthew Batten– 1-for-5, 1 R, 3 RBI, 2 K

Reiss Knehr– 2.2 IP, 7 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 2 K

Nabil Crismatt– 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Trailing 7-1, the El Paso Chihuahuas staged a massive comeback in a 9-8 win. Brandon Dixon got El Paso on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Chihuahuas starter Reiss Knehr got through the first two innings unscathed, but things fell apart in the third inning. Knehr allowed six runs and couldn’t finish the frame. Tom Cosgrove allowed a run in the fourth inning after finishing the third, and that put El Paso in a six-run hole. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Matthew Batten hit a three-run home run to make it 7-5. The next inning, four extra-base hits brought home four runs to re-take the lead, 9-7.

Jay Groome will start for the Chihuahuas on Thursday.
