The minor league affiliates for the San Diego Padres went 3-1 on Sunday.

Here is a brief recap of the action.

El Paso Chihuahuas Won 6-3 (41-22 on the season)

El Paso continues their hot streak as, with today’s win, they won their seventh game in their last eight games. Leading the charge was Kyle McGrath, who pitched seven perfect innings before allowing three runs to score on an eighth-inning home run, which tied the game at three runs apiece. El Paso took an early lead on Michael Gettys‘ 13th home run and an RBI double from Jose Pirela, then retook the lead in the tenth inning when Pirela hit an RBI single. Amarillo Sod Poodles Won 6-0 (30-31 on the season)

Adrian Morejon started today’s game and, while he only pitched two innings, he didn’t allow a run while striking out two. Emmanuel Ramirez took over for him and was just as effective, tossing six scoreless innings and striking out seven batters. While Amarillo scored two runs in the first inning, they piled on with four more in the third inning. Edward Olivares, Luis Torrens, and Kyle Overstreet continued their solid years by collecting RBIs in the inning, with Olivares getting the fun started with a two-run single.

Ivan Castillo: 2-4, 2 Runs Scored

Edward Olivares: 1-4, RBI, Run Scored

Luis Torrens: 1-4, RBI, 2B, 3 K

Adrian Morejon: 2 IP, H, 2K (29 pitches-19 strikes)

Emmanuel Ramirez: 6 IP, 4 H, BB, 7 K (86 pitches-57 strikes) Win

Lake Elsinore Storm Won 5-4 (32-29 on the season)

It was a big day for Gabriel Arias, who hit his sixth and seventh home runs in today’ game against Lancaster en route to a 3-for-4 day at the plate. Despite this, Lancaster maintained a lead against Elliot Ashbeck by scoring three runs off the soon-to-be All-Star. The Storm tied the game with Arias’ second home run and a Jalen Washington RBI in the seventh inning, but the JetHawks again took the lead on a sacrifice fly the following inning. A two-run single from Eguy Rosario, who was provided some assistance thanks to an errant throw from the Lancaster outfielder, put the Storm in front. Evan Miller pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his tenth save of the season.

Gabriel Arias: 3-4, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 3 Runs Scored, K

Eguy Rosario: 2-4, RBI, Run Scored, K, SB

Jalen Washington: 1-2, RBI, BB, SB

Fort Wayne TinCaps Lost 5-4 (28-33 on the season)

The TinCaps were the only Padre farm team to absorb a loss today. The TinCaps had taken an early lead in the fourth inning thanks to an RBI double from Lee Solomon, followed by a single by Juan Fernandez. The lead was padded on RBI hits from Tucapita Marcano and Michael Curry. The lead seemed safe as starter Efrain Contreras cruised through six innings and allowed just a single run while striking out eight, but the Dragons saved their offense until the very end of the game. Dayton jumped on Henry Henry in the eighth inning, scoring three runs on two two-out singles. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, Pabel Manzanero hit the game-winning RBI single to overcome the TinCaps.

Tucapita Marcano: 1-4, RBI, Run Scored

Lee Solomon: 2-4, RBI, Run Scored, 2B, K

Michael Curry: 1-3, RBI, BB, K

Efrain Contreras: 6 IP, 6 H, R, BB, 8 K (80 pitches-58 strikes) No Decision

Henry Henry: 1.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 2 BB, K (30 pitches-19 strikes) Loss
