The San Diego Padres minor league affiliates went 2-0 on the day. El Paso, San Antonio, Fort Wayne, and Lake Elsinore had the day off.

DSL Padres (Won 8-6 vs. DSL Baltimore Black) (27-15 on the season)

The Dominican League Padres got off to a hot start, scoring four runs in the first inning, and ended up topping the DSL Orioles Black team 8-6 in 10 innings. After the first inning explosion for the Padres, the Orioles fought back, eventually tying the game with two runs in the bottom of the 7th, which is the final inning of the game in the Dominican League. After a couple of scoreless innings in extras, the Padres scored a pair of runs in the 10th inning to take the lead and eventually hold on for the victory.

The ACL Padres edged the ACL Dodgers 5-4 on Monday night thanks to a walk-off single by Josttin Diaz in the bottom of the ninth. The game was back and forth all night, with the Dodgers taking the lead in the top of the eighth and then the Padres tying the game back up in the bottom of the eighth. The Padres got a couple of runners on in the ninth, and Diaz’s single ended the game in a dramatic finish to inch the Padres closer to .500.
