The San Diego Padres have a new host for their 2016 #PadresSocialHour show and we here at EVT had the opportunity to talk to him. Mike Janela brings a passionate love for the game of baseball to San Diego, and Padres fans are going to enjoy their time with this native New Yorker.
Mike has diverse experience in many facets of the game and in the multi media department. He has worked baseball games from Alaska to the Cape Cod league. From being a broadcaster to writing about the team, he has done so much in his brief career. Mike has genuinely worked his way up in the industry and his track record of success speaks volumes about him
We talk to Mike about his feelings on the Padres and how excited he is to be part of the team. We go a little bit into the hiring process and how Mike was handpicked for the job by Padres management. Truly fascinating that the Padres went all out in their search for a new host and content creator for the show.
Recently at friarwire.com Mike has written some excellent content. We definitely get an idea of what he and the team have in store for the new season. Mike hints at some new concepts for the #PadresSH show and we are excited to see what he and the staff come up with. We will truly miss Jesse Agler, but it is refreshing that the show is being left in more than capable hands.
Enjoy this opportunity to get to know Mike Janela. He will be a very familiar face to Padres fans and hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Thanks to Mike for taking time for us and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
