Friday saw a total of six players in action throughout the globe.
The hitters were 11-21 on the day, as several had multiple hit games.
Here is a rundown of all the action from Friday.
Australian Baseball League
Buddy Reed was 1-4 with a triple on Friday. He also scored a run and struck out twice on the day. Reed started in center and is hitting .310 on the year for the Cavalry.
Gabriel Arias went 1-3 with a strikeout. The phenomenal young infielder has played remarkable defense and has also shown surprising pop this brief Australian season. Arias is hitting .246 on the year so far.
Venezuelan Winter League
Jose Pirela played both corner outfield spots in a double-header Friday, in Venezuela. The right handed hitter went 3-5 combined, with two runs, a double, triple one RBI and a strikeout. He is hitting .267 so far after an ice-cold start. It is very interesting that he has played all of his games in the outfield. Clearly, the Padres want him to get as much experience as he can out there for the 2018 season.
Dominican Winter League
Manuel Margot was 3-4 with two runs scored, a walk, two stolen bases and a strikeout. He is off to a .471 start in the Dominican Republic. Margot is getting some at bats before the spring and has looked very well on the baseball diamond.

Mexican Winter League
Fernando Perez went 2-4 on Friday with a strikeout and is hitting .302 on the year. He continues to play second base for his Mexican team in recent weeks. Perez could start the year in San Antonio and play either third or second. He also has the ability to play first base.
