San Diego Padres affiliates went 4-2 on Tuesday. Here is a recap of the dayā€™s events.

El Paso Chihuahuas

The Chihuahuas were off today. They begin a seven-game road trip in Tennesee tomorrow with a three-game set at the Nashville Sounds (Texas Rangers), followed by four games against the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals).

Amarillo Sod Poodles (55-50) Won 12-2

The Sod Poodles scored in every inning but the fourth, compiling 13 hits and five walks. Luis Torrens drove in four runs. Lead-off man Rodrigo Orozco stole two bases and reached base four times while scoring three runs. Peter Van Gansen hit two solo home runs. Nick Margevicius pitched six strong innings for the Sod Poodles, giving up three hits and three walks while striking out eight while the bullpen combined to pitch three shutout innings.

Lake Elsinore Storm (55-51)

Lake Elsinore was off today. They travel to San Jose to play the Giants (San Francisco Giants) and then travel to Stockton to play the Ports (Oakland Athletics).

Fort Wayne TinCaps (46-58) Won 5-1

An impressive performance by the Fort Wayne pitching staff led them to victory over Dayton. Joey Cantillo threw six innings and struck out six, giving up one run on four hits and two walks. None of the TinCapsā€™ batters managed more than one hit, but the TinCaps scored three times in the second on four singles and a walk. Dwanya Williams-Sutton hit his fifth homer of the season in the third inning to pad the lead. Moises Lugo made his Fort Wayne debut by throwing a shutout inning.

Tri-City Dust Devils (19-26) Lost 11-2

The Dust Devils gave up seven runs in the fifth inning and couldnā€™t recover. Carlos Luis hit his first home run to account for both Tri-City runs. Starter Connor Lehman only pitched three innings and gave up two runs on three hits. Jason Blanchard was hit hard in his relief appearance, surrendering six runs on three hits and three walks in only 1.2 innings of relief. He now sports a 12.75 ERA in 12 total innings with the Dust Devils.

AZL Padres 1 (19-14) Lost 2-1

In a low scoring affair, a Will Bartlett RBI double off of Edgar Martinez in the third inning proved to be the decisive run for the AZL Indians. Martinez pitched four innings and allowed two runs to be the hard-luck loser of the game. However, he is still carrying a clean 2.87 ERA on the season. A Matias Polanco groundout in the ninth inning got the Padres within a run while two singles and a stolen base put the tying and winning runs in scoring position. Unfortunately, Hudson Head struck out to end the game.

AZL Padres 2 (21-12) Won 13-11

The AZL Padres 2 jumped out to an 11-0 lead against the AZL Brewers Gold and hung on for a 13-11 lead. The teams combined for 10 errors while each team walked eight times. Christian Heredia hit two home runs, driving in six runs on three hits. Junior Perez and Ripken Reyes also hit home runs in the winning effort.

The DSL Padres beat the Orioles in a game that was 4-0 after six innings. The Padres had 13 hits, 13 runs, and 13 walks, while only striking out five times. Axcel Peralta had four hits and a walk in six trips to the plate, scoring twice. Nerwilian Cedeno walked four times, scoring two runs and netting two RBI while going hitless in one at-bat.
