San Diego Padres affiliates went 2-2 on Tuesday. Fort Wayne, Lake Elsinore and both Arizona League teams had the day off.

Here is a recap of the day’s games.

El Paso Chihuahuas (52-44) won 8-2

The Chihuahuas used the long ball to take down the Albuquerque Isotopes, winning 8-2. No. 3 prospect Luis Urias hit his seventh home run of the season, a two-run shot. It was part of a three-run third inning. A. J. Kennedy, Javier Guerra and Cory Spangenberg also hit home runs. Guerra’s homer broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the second inning. Jerry Keel stuck out 10 over six innings. He allowed two runs (one earned) over six innings, with six hits and two walks.

San Antonio Missions (55-39) lost 4-2

The Missions were done in by a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning, losing 4-2 to the Midland Rockhounds. Skye Bolt went deep and broke a 2-2 tie. Luis Barrera scored from third base on the home run. Jacob Nix made the start for San Antonio. He allowed only a run over six innings, striking out five. Kyle Overstreet and Webster Rivas hit RBI-singles in the bottom of the sixth inning for the Missions’ only runs of the game.

Tri-City Dust Devils (16-16) won 10-4

The Dust Devils scored early and often enroute to a 10-4 win over the Vancouver Canadiens. Tri-City jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Luis Asuncion hit an RBI-double that scored two runs. Tre Carter drove in a run with a single, and Olivier Basabe drove in two runs with a single. The Dust Devils put up four more runs in the seventh inning. Asuncion and Kevin Alarcon hit RBI-singles during the inning.

Dominican Summer League Padres (22-16) lost 6-4

The Padres allowed three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, and that turned out to be the difference, as they lost 6-4 to the Blue Jays. A walk and an error set the table for the Blue Jays’ Hanley Acevedo, who hit a two-run triple. He later scored on a fielder’s choice in the inning. Victor Nova hit his second home run of the season for the Padres. Christian Heredia hit a double in the fourth inning and later scored.
