The San Diego State Aztecs were placed as a No. 6-seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

They will play the No. 11-seed Syracuse Orange in their matchup.

On Saturday, SDSU won the Mountain West Conference tournament, so the Aztecs knew they were in the field.

They are in the third region, with the Illinois Fighting Illini as the top seed, and the Houston Cougars as the No. 2-seed.

The other two teams in the Aztecs’ section are the West Virginia Mountaineers (3) and the Morehead State Eagles (14). If the Aztecs defeat Syracuse, they will face the winner of West Virginia vs. Morehead State.

San Diego State will tip-off against Syracuse on Friday.

Time is TBD as of the bracket’s reveal.
