There are several men in action throughout the globe for the San Diego Padres.

Here is a recap of the day’s events for Tuesday.

Dominican Winter League

Ivan Castillo– (0-4)

The Padres are bringing back Castillo for the 2020 season, and the Dominican infielder has an excellent chance to make his way to Petco this coming season, possibly. Castillo is off to a .242 start back home in the D.R. He has played all over the diamond and has played on most days for the Leones de Escogido.

Jesse Scholtens– 0.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, K (14 pitches- 6 strikes)

The right-handed pitcher made his debut for the Aguilas Cibaenas on Tuesday and failed to get out of the first inning. He allowed two runs on four hits but was not charged with an earned run in the game. The 25-year-old pitcher was 5-7 last year with a 5.40 ERA in 20 starts for the Sod Poodles.

Webster Rivas– (0-0)

The defensive expert got into a game late on Tuesday but failed to record an at-bat for the Gigantes de Cibao. Rivas is hitting .200 on the season and playing only sparingly in the D.R. The Padres value his defensive abilities as Rivas is special behind the dish.

Mexican Winter League

Luis Urias– (0-4)

Padres’ young second baseman Luis Urias is off to a .188 start for the Yaquis de Obregon. The right-handed hitter went 0-for-4 on Tuesday.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Michael Gettys– (0-4) 3 K’s

Padres’ minor league outfielder Michael Gettys is playing in Puerto Rico and is off to a .194 start for the Indios de Mayaguez. Gettys is still having issues making contact, and that is troubling. He struck out three times in the game on Tuesday.
