The Peoria Javelinas won 3-1 in a seven-inning game against the Glendale Desert Dogs on Friday.

The team is now 15-6 on the year with the best record in all of the AFL. Each team in the league played a shortened game on Friday, as the league prepares for the Fall Stars Game, which will be tomorrow night. Buddy Reed and Miguel Diaz were both named to the team from the Padres.

In other action, Franmil Reyes went deep in the D.R. for his first homer of the season.

Here is your recap of the day’s events:

Arizona Fall League

Hudson Potts- (1-3) 2B, 2 RBI

The third baseman smacked a double on Friday (video below) to the right-center gap and is up to .224 (14-for-61) with his batting average. Potts has put up a .727 OPS for the Javelinas so far this year.

Austin Allen- (0-2) BB, Run, 2 K

Allen has recorded a .842 OPS and is hitting .268 for Peoria. He has shown that he needs to be added to the 40-man roster. Allen is Rule 5-eligible and will likely be an addition to the roster very soon.

Dauris Valdez- (Save) 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 K

The power-pitcher earned his second save of the year on Friday and now has a 3.38 ERA on the season. Valdez has great size and throws very hard. He should eventually be a high-leverage reliever for the Padres.

Mexican winter league

No Padres’ minor leaguer in action

Dominican winter league

Eric Yardley- 1 IP, H

The side-armed pitcher continues to pitch well as he threw a scoreless inning on Friday. He owns a 1.04 ERA so far in the D.R.

Franmil Reyes- (1-3) HR, 2 RBI, Run, BB

La Mole powered an outside pitch out of the ballpark down the left field line for his first dinger of the season (video below). The big right fielder is looking to build off his huge rookie campaign for the Padres.

Venezuelan winter league

Edward Olivares- (4-5) RBI

The outfielder went 4-for-5 on Friday, including a walk-off single. He is hitting .346 for the Tigres de Aragua and showing some force this winter in Venezuela.
