Nathan Ruiz is new to the San Diego sports scene.

He is the Associate Reporter for (Padres). Nathan just graduated from OSU in May and started with the Padres in June.

It was very interesting talking to the young reporter as he has earned the opportunity to speak to these major league players first-hand.

We first learn a little bit about Nathan and his passion for the game. We find out that he has a history in San Diego and has goals to remain in this industry for a long time.

The Padres have played better of late, so we ask Nathan about his impression of the team. He talks to us about the feelings in the clubhouse and the emotions of this young team. It is great to speak with someone who interacts with the team on a daily basis.

The extension of Andy Green is discussed by the three of us. We get Nathan’s impression of the manager.

We could not make it through the show without some tank talk, so we discuss the ideology behind the concept. Nathan gives us his two cents about the philosophy of tanking.

Carlos Asuaje, Cory Spangenberg, Manuel Margot, and Luis Perdomo are all players who are discussed in this podcast. Nathan has very favorable remarks about Asuaje, as he has clearly become a favorite player to watch. His style of play is exciting to witness.

Austin Hedges and his leadership abilities are something we hit on as Nathan gives his impression of the young backstop.

This was an excellent interview as Nathan was more than willing to talk about the state of the team. We look forward to working with Nathan in the future and seeing more of the excellent content he is producing for
