Minor league affiliates went 3-1 on Wednesday, with the San Antonio Missions sweeping their doubleheader and the Fort Wayne TinCaps winning a wild one in extras thanks to Robert Hassell III hitting three home runs.

In the sixth inning, Córdoba stole second base, but scored on throwing errors by Amarillo’s catcher and center fielder to tie the game at four. Then, Ethan Skender singled to win on a walk-off.

The Mission will play just one game Thursday, and do not have a scheduled starter.

Connor Lehmann– 4 IP, 5 ER, 7 H, 4 K, 1 BB

Kevin Kopps– 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 K, 1 BB

The Fort Wayne TinCaps defeated the Great Lakes Loons in extra innings, 12-11, but top-prospect Robert Hassell III stole the show with three home runs, including the game winner in the eleventh inning. Fort Wayne got out to a 3-0 lead in the second, but that lead vanished when Connor Lehmann allowed a two-run home run in the third inning. Justin Lopez immediately grabbed the lead back for the TinCaps with a two-run home run of his own. In the fifth inning, Hassell III hit his first home run of the game to break the tie at five, and then hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning. Felix Minjarez allowed a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth that tied the game at eight, which is also the score that remained until the 11th inning. Fort Wayne scored in extras on a wild pitch, a Reinaldo Ilarraza single, and then Hassell’s third home run. Great Lakes scored three runs in the bottom of the eleventh, but Austin Smith retired the final batter with the bases loaded.

Gabe Mosser will start for Fort Wayne on Thursday.

The Lake Elsinore Storm fell behind early and were never able to get anything going in their 8-1 loss. The Storm were able to score in the eighth inning on a Tyler Malone double.
