Only one of the San Diego Padres’ affiliates played Monday in a slow day in Minor League Baseball.

The El Paso Chihuahuas split a double-header with the Round Rock Express, while the San Antonio Missions, Fort Wayne TinCaps, and the Lake Elsinore Storm all had the day off.

The El Paso Chihuahuas lost the first game of their doubleheader Monday. This first game was the completion of Sunday’s suspended game. El Paso took the lead in the fifth inning after Patrick Kivlehan hit in the tying run and Luis Campusano doubled home the go-ahead run. The lead was short-lived as the Round Rock Express scored three runs in the seventh and ninth innings to put away the Chihuahuas. Jose Quezada took the loss after surrendering the runs in the seventh.
