San Diego Padres affiliates went  4-1 on Wednesday.

Here is a recap of the day’s events.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Lost 13-6 to Alburquerque) (28-37 on the season)

Eguy Rosario– (3-for-4) HR, Run, 3 RBI

Tirso Ornelas– (2-for-2) 2B, Run, BB

Brett Sullivan– (1-for-3) 2B, BB, 2 Run

Sean Reynolds– 2.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 5 K (51 pitches- 34 strikes)

The Chihuahuas’ pitching staff was roughed up in a 13-6 loss on the road in New Mexico. El Paso allowed 13 runs and 14 hits. Six different pitchers threw in the game, and all but one surrendered at least a run. Sean Reynolds started the contest and lasted 2.1 innings, allowing four earned runs. Paul Fry relieved him and threw 1.2 innings of scoreless ball in the loss. Daniel Camerna coughed up three runs in 1.1 innings of work, and Lake Bachar allowed two runs to score and only managed to record two outs.

Eguy Rosario continues to smash in Triple-A, but there is no room for him in San Diego, even with the loss of Xander Bogaerts. Rosario powered his eighth home of the season in the PCL. He went 3-for-4 in the loss and drove in three runs. Tirso Ornelas is showing signs and continues to swing a productive bat. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-2 with a double on Wednesday.

San Antonio Missions (Won over Corpus Christi 7-6 in 10 innings) (27-31 on the season)

Clay Dungan– (1-for-3) 4 Runs, 3 BB, K

Cole Cummings– (2-for-3) Run, RBI, SB, 2 BB, K

Marcos Castanon– (1-for-4) 2B, Run, 2 RBI, BB, K

Austin Krob– 3.2 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 5 K (92 pitches- 50 strikes)

The Missions walked off against the Hooks in the bottom of the 10th inning. Marcos Castanon drove in Clay Dungan on a sacrifice fly for the win. Castanon was 1-for-4 in the win with a double and two RBI. Cole Cummings went 2-for-3 in the win, and Clay Dungan walked three times and scored four runs for the Missions.

Austin Krob started the game and did not have his best stuff. The lefty surrendered four earned runs in 3.2 innings of work for San Antonio. Raul Brito was credited for the win as he pitched a scoreless 10th inning for the Missions. EVT’s Rylan Renteria was on site, and here is his recap with photos.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Won 3-1 over Lake County) (26-33 on the season)

Kai Murphy– (3-for-4) 2B, RBI, K

Joshua Mears- (1-for-3) 2B, K

David Morgan– 1 IP, 1 K (Save) (8 pitches- 7 strikes)

Jagger Haynes– 6.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 11 K (97 pitches- 64 strikes)

The Padres got a great pitching performance from lefty Jagger Haynes in a win against Lake County. Haynes pitched 6.2 innings and allowed two hits and one earned run. After a rough start to the season, his ERA is down to 4.40. David Morgan earned his third save of the season by pitching a scoreless ninth.

Kai Murphy led the TinCaps with three hits in the game. The outfielder went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Josh Mears doubled in three at-bats and that was it for the offense, The rest of the team went hitless, but the pitching staff saved the day for Fort Wayne in the win.

I'd like this amount to

Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 19-0 over Stockton) (29-28 on the season)

Jacob Campbell– (3-for-6) HR, 3 RBI, 4 Runs

Romeo Sanabria– (3-for-5) 2B, Run, 2 RBI, BB

Ryan Wilson– (3-for-5) HR, 4 Runs, 2 RBI, BB

Jose Luis Reyes– 5 IP, 3 H, BB, 7 K (81 pitches- 52 strikes)

A Hoffman closed out the game in Lake Elsinore on Wednesday night. No, not that Hoffman. But Trevor’s son Wyatt Hoffman did toe the runner for the Storm in a 19-0 blowout win over the Stockton Ports. The Storm infielder retired all three batters he faced in the bottom of the 9th. An eight-run first inning powered Lake Elsinore to the dominating win. Jose Luis Reyes started the game and went five innings without allowing a run.

Lake Elsinore recorded 19 hits in the game as three different players enjoyed a three-hit night in the minors. Ryan Wilson, Romeo Sanabria, Jacob Campbell, and Rosman Verdugo all recorded three knocks in the win. Wilson and Campbell homered in the game, as did Jose Sanabria. Each Storm player in the starting lineup got a hit in the game. It was an absolute blowout.
