The minor league affiliates for the San Diego Padres went 4-2 on Tuesday.

Here is a brief recap of the day’s action.

El Paso Chihuahuas (66-48)

Amarillo Sod Poodles Won 5-3 (61-51)

Taylor Trammell went 1-for-3 today with two runs scored and two walks while extending his hitting streak to a modest three games. Ivan Castillo continues to swing a hot bat, as a 2-for-4 day raised his OPS to .850 on the season. Castillo, along with Edward Olivares and Luis Torrens, collected RBIs in the game. Starter Ronald Bolanos went 5.2 innings and allowed just one run while striking out eight batters.

Lake Elsinore Storm Won 8-7 (59-55)

A grueling 14-inning game ended in a positive note for Lake Elsinore as a Jeisson Rosario RBI single walked it off for the Storm. Lost in the mix was the start made by Luis Patino, who pitched five innings and allowed two runs while striking out six. Xavier Edwards went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs while Gabriel Arias went 4-for-6 with two RBIs. Shortstop Ruddy Giron pitched the 14th inning and allowed an inherited runner to score, but actually picked up a strikeout in the one inning he pitched.

Despite getting first-round pick CJ Abrams, the TinCaps only managed two hits against the Whitecaps. Justin Lopez and Lee Solomon had a single each. Starter Moises Lugo got hit hard in his third Fort Wayne start, allowing five runs in just two innings on the mound. Relief pitchers Austin Smith and Edwuin Bencomo allowed one and two runs to cross the plate, respectively.

AZL Padres 1 Lost 4-3 (23-18) 

One run was the difference between the AZL Padres 1 and the AZL Mariners. Errors by Frank Lopez and Payton Smith allowed four unearned runs to score off of Lopez. Chris Given had a 4-for-5 day with a double. Matias Polanco also had a multi-hit day with a 2-for-4 game. Brandon Komar pitched five innings of shutout relief while striking out three. He now has a 0.79 ERA in Arizona.

Three runs in the fourth inning was all it took for the Padres to take the win. Two of those runs came off of a two-run single off the bat of Jarryd Dale, while Junior Perez proved the other run with a solo home run, his tenth dinger of the year. After Tom Cosgrove pitched one inning, Jose Garcia pitched four innings and allowed just one run to earn the win for the Padres.

DSL Padres Won 11-8 (25-30)

The Padre scored ten runs in the first three innings and never looked back from there against the DSL White Sox. Five of those runs were unearned. Axcel Peralta and Victor Duarte both hit home runs for the Padres and had two RBIs each. Edwin Rojas went 2-for-4 on the day with two runs scored and two RBIs. Manuel Avila started and allowed seven runs in 2.2 innings, but it was Dwayne Matos who got the win in relief.
