Lefty starter Aaron Leasher went four innings, striking out six hitters, and looked sharp in three of the four innings. Reliever Evan Miller pitched a scoreless pair of innings while striking out four. In all, El Paso’s pitching struck out 11 and allowed only three hits.

Home runs by right fielder Trayce Thompson (2) and second baseman Domingo Leyba (1) helped El Paso separate from Round Rock after clinging to a one-run lead after five innings.
