The San Diego Padres’ affiliates were on 1-3 on Tuesday as the Lake Elsinore Storm were the only team to win.

Here is your recap of the day’s action:

El Paso Chihuahuas (20-20) Lost 3-1

The Chihuahuas continue their tailspin as they are now 3-11 in their last 14 games played. On Tuesday, they dropped the game to Reno 3-1 as the offense continues to falter. The promotions of Travis Jankowski and Franmil Reyes have hurt the team in recent games, but they should still be able to put up runs in the PCL. Luis Perdomo was decent, going six innings, allowing two earned runs. His ERA is now at 3.00 on the year for El Paso. Brett Nicholas continues to hit, and in recent weeks he has played a lot behind the dish. Could a promotion and add to the 40-man roster be in the works for him?

Luis Urias– (0-3) BB

Javy Guerra– (1-4)

Brett Nicholas– (2-3) HR, 2B, RBI, Run, BB

Robert Stock– 1 IP, 1 H (16 pitches- 11 strikes)

Luis Perdomo– 6 IP, 5 H,2 ER,1 BB, 5 K (81 pitches- 57 strikes)

San Antonio Missions (25-13) Lost 5-4

Logan Allen was on the mound and was given a 4-0 lead, but could not get out of the seventh inning. Allen walked the leadoff hitter, then allowed three straight hits. The Hooks had Allen on the ropes several times early in the game, but the left-hander worked out of them. Allen still has a very respectable 2.98 ERA in the Texas League and is seriously close to being in the conversation for those who are major league-ready. Fernando Tatis led off the game with a homer and hit a second to straightaway center field. Kyle Overstreet had two hits in the loss.

Fernando Tatis Jr.– (2-4) 2 HR, 2 RBI, 2 Run, K

Ty France– (1-4) 2B, Run

Kyle Overstreet– (2-4) RBI

Josh Naylor– (0-2) 2 BB

Logan Allen– 6 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 6 K (92 pitches- 55 strikes)

Lake Elsinore Storm (17-22) Won 8-4

The Storm returned home for a quick three-game series with the 66ers. Adrian Morejon was on the mound for the first game and he pitched well, allowing two earned runs on six hits in six innings pitched. His throwing error made things worse for the left-hander on the night, but he still walked away with the win, improving to 2-3 on the year with a 3.67 ERA. The Storm recorded 15 hits on the night as five different hitters had multiple-hit games. Marcus Greene Jr went 2-for-3 and Brad Zunica went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a walk, and a run scored. Elliot Ashbeck continues to be reliable out of the pen, throwing a scoreless inning and lowering his ERA to 1.82 on the year.

Eguy Rosario– (2-5) Run, RBI

Buddy Reed– (3-5) 3B, 2B, 3 Runs, K

Luis Torrens– (2-4) 2B, 2 RBI

Matthew Batten- (3-3) 3 RBI, BB

Adrian Morejon– 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K (85 pitches- 48 strikes)

Fort Wayne TinCaps (15-22) Lost 4-1

Base running issues and the lack of timely hitting was a major factor in the TinCaps’ loss on Tuesday. Osvaldo Hernandez pitched well but got no run support as the TinCaps struck out 11 times in the game. Here is a recap of the game from Ken Bugajski who was in attendance in Fort Wayne.

Jeisson Rosario– (1-3) BB, Run, SB

Tirso Ornelas– (2-3) 2B, BB, K

Justin Lopez– (2-4) 2 K

Luis Campusano– (1-3) RBI

Osvaldo Hernandez– 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K (77 pitches- 46 strikes)
