MLB Pipeline Names Padres the Best Farm System in Baseball

On Friday, MLB Pipeline released their top three farm systems in all of baseball, with the White Sox, Braves, and Padres in the mix. When numbers two and three were revealed, it was clear who was number one, your San Diego Padres.

Although these rankings don’t win any championships, or even games, it’s nice to see the Padres getting some recognition. This truly is a special farm system, busting at the seams with talent. The Padres have six players in MLB Pipeline’s Top 50, which is the most in the league.

Fernando Tatis Jr. (8), Mackenzie Gore (19), Luis Urias (36), Cal Quantrill (40), Michel Baez (42), and Adrian Morejon (50) make their top 50.

We all know how talented this system is and the exciting things we expect in the near future, but now the entire league will take notice as the Padres are number one.

It’s weird to think the Padres are number one in something positive, given how hard it usually is to be a Padres fan. This is a new era and new time, under new management. This has never been done in the Padres’ history, we have no year or era of San Diego Padres baseball we can compare this to.

It’s time for the league to take notice of what is going on in San Diego.
