The Chargers’ disappointing 4-12 record in 2015 gives them the third overall pick in this April’s NFL Draft. With this pick, the Chargers have a chance to plug one of the numerous holes on their roster.

Ole Miss’s Laremy Tunsil is the top offensive lineman to enter the draft. He would be a great fit for the Bolts, whose O-line was ravaged with injuries all season and would love to find a blocking buddy for King Dunlap.

Tunsil has quick feet and great awareness, and he has shown he has the ability to knock off speedy, powerful defenders.

Here, Tunsil anchors Ole Miss’s O-Line and creates lanes through the Alabama defense.

Tunsil would be a much-welcomed addition to an O-line that allowed opposing defenses to sack Philip Rivers 40 times last season. Additionally, the addition of Tunsil should help sophomore halfback Melvin Gordon, who struggled his rookie year with an average of 3.5 yards per carry.

Of course, this will all go for naught if Cleveland or Tennessee select Tunsil. Berkeley QB Jared Goff makes sense for the post-Manziel era Browns, but the Titans are also in the market for a lineman. The Titans would love to protect their sophomore play-caller Marcus Mariota, who was sacked 38 times in 2015.

On the other hand, the Titans are also in the market for a pass rusher, so Ohio State’s Joey Bosa makes sense for them, as well.

However, the Bolts also have a need for a solid pass rusher, so if Tennessee selects Tunsil, Telesco could go with Bosa and fill a different hole.

Regardless of who the Chargers select in the first round, they have a great chance to add an impact player who can immediately make a difference on the field.
